报告摘要: Due to the recent interest in deep learning and related applications, there is a growing need for using stochastic approximation algorithms. In the talk, we will discuss what stochastic approximation is about. We will then discuss some properties such as convergence, rates of convergence, and asymptotic efficiency. A number of examples will also be presented.
